Biology Topics

Topics in Biology are important to understand. These topics are very broad, which means they can be anything related to it. Students should get the basic grasp of learning about Biology at all.

Plant Life

Plant life is usually the first thing students learn in Biology. The topic covers how plants grow and the different parts of what makes a plant. What students need to know is the different growth stages of plants so students will know when to harvest or grow outside. When students know about plant life, they will have more knowledge in farming and gardening. Plant life generally leads in to animal life as the two are similar, or it could be taught at the same time. Students should know about the needs of the plants, such as photosynthesis, humidity, and water. Students also get a grasp of the comparison between plants and animals. Plants are generally healthier than animal products because they contain fibre as well as certain vitamins humans need, while animal products may contain saturated fat or cholesterol. Students will also get a grasp for the food they eat, and they will quickly consider what they eat daily. Plant life is not only good at teaching students how to farm/garden, it also helps students be conscious of what they are eating.

Fertilization

Fertilization is how animals reproduce. Some students may be uncomfortable with this topic. Students will learn how male animals attract their female counterparts. Students will learn the different reproductive systems of both genders. When students grow up to be adults, they'll start to have more intimate thoughts and start to compete for their love. When students get their partner, they sometimes will do some intimate behaviours to raise a child. Learning about fertilization can prepare students in caretaking.
