Material of French
French has a lot of material that students must learn. Some people think the French curriculum is just like that of other subjects, but French is more complex than one might expect from a subject.

The standards for French courses
Course Outline
French is just like other subjects. It has a course outline. However, the course outline is more involved. Topics are ran through quite quickly. This means students have less time to study for upcoming quizzes and tests depending on the teacher. French words are quite varied, from words which can be easily memorized to words which require flashcards to memorize. Some teachers are usually more strict or lenient depending on the topic. Some teachers usually distribute the marks evenly, sometimes putting more or less emphasis on certain criteria. Students usually get used to the system based on what they learned previously. Sometimes, the student might excel. Other times, they might struggle. Like all other subjects, the course outline is easy to follow, but most students usually forget the course outline because they prioritize their assignments than knowing what will happen in the next unit.
Unit Tests
Unit tests are tests which tests students' understanding of a topic. They are given at the end of each unit before the next unit. They are usually more difficult and worth more than regular quizzes and tests. Students have to study more often to get a good result. These unit tests eventually lead up to a final exam at the end of the semester. The contents of a unit test have most of the things students learned in that unit. They are similar to the questions on the assignments, but they are not the exact same to prevent students from breezing through the test. These tests usually require all of the class time to complete. Any students still doing the test will not be allowed to leave until they do so. Furthermore, most unit tests are not multiple-choice, so students will have to figure out the answer without brute-forcing the solution.
When students are finished, they can do whatever they want quietly. Many teachers use dividers to prevent as much cheating as possible. Sometimes, dividers are not enough; many teachers will walk around the class.
