Mathematics Topics
Math is not the easiest subject. Math serves a various range of topics that tests a student's ability to solve problems efficiently. Many students are not the most enthusiastic about math as a whole.

Formulas
Formulas are equations that can solve specific equations. The Pythagorean Theorem is a very popular formula. It tells you the hypotenuse of the triangle. By calculating the length squared and the width squared, you can take the square root of the hypotenuse. Another popular one is the quadratic equation. It is used to solve equations like ax^2 + bx + c = 0. The letters correspond to a number. The quadratic formula uses the plus or minus symbol to determine if the answer is positive or negative. Another popular formula is the area of circles. The formula is pi*r^2. It is essential for figuring out the volume of 3D objects with circular bases. Students will take the time to learn the formulas and then incorporate them into their problems. Formulas are essential for figuring out certain problems that regular math cannot do as well.
Review
Some students forget what they learned in math over the summer. Teachers get the chance to reintroduce certain topics from previous grades to slowly get students back into math. When students get comfortable with what they have learned, teachers will start introducing new topics exclusive to the grade. Review is important because when students face a problem with a formula they learned in a previous grade, they will not be able to solve the problem until they relearn the entire formula. Some teachers will build off of the review and expand on a certain topic. Many students will usually get behind the topic in a short amount of time, so teachers usually can get through the review without any issues. Not all review elements get reintroduced. Sometimes, when something is very easy, teachers do not need to reteach their students the topics.
