How Students Learn History
Learning history is all about memorization. People might think students just retain the information in their mind, but in reality, students use certain strategies that retain more information without studying more.

Flashcards
Flashcards are the most common way a student can study less and retain more information. Students will put the topic on one side of the flashcard, and the answer on the other side. Students will try to guess what the answer is. If they get it right, they put it in the correct pile. If they get it wrong, they put it in the wrong pile. After getting through all of the flashcards, the student will take all of the flashcards from the wrong pile and try to guess them again. This keeps repeating until all the flashcards are in the correct pile. When students do this, they will remember the information more clearly and can breeze through tests quicker than the average student. Students who do this also perform better than the average student. Flashcards are especially important for completely memory-based subjects. Flashcards are the most popular strategy students can use in their studies. Many students rely on flashcards to get through their classes. Overall, flashcards are a massive lifesaver for students.
Library
Students may go to the library to research on the topic they are learning. A library is a good place to study as it has many quiet spaces students can use without any distraction. It is less common than working at home as you mostly have a quiet space in your room you can study in. However, if you want total silence, a library is the best choice for that. Overall, libraries can provide sufficient study spaces.
